Our foraging walk in Ardan Wood last September proved to be very popular so this spring we will be running another walk. This time we will be looking at herbs that are found in our woodlands. This walk will be led by an herbalist who will take us through the woods and teach us about the different herbs and their uses. This walk is sure to be very interesting and informative and is suitable for all the family. This event is free to members of the Woodland Trust with a suggested donation of €4 for non-members.

Winter Event – March 2014

ETHOS’s  Winter Event  “Our Built Environment” comes a little late but promises to be very informative and interesting.   We are busy making final preparations for this exploration of our Architectural Heritage which will take place in March.

St Sinian’s church is one of the many Architectural treasures we have in Tyrrellspass.  The detail can go unnoticed but on closer inspection the craftsmanship of its 19th Century builders is clearly evident.   The church is undergoing refurbishment at present but needs urgent funding and support if this treasure is not to be lost to future generations.
